About me

Helping LMSWs Build Confidence, Clinical Judgment, and a Strong Foundation for Independent Practice

Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Texas and Ohio | 10+ Years of Clinical & Supervisory Experience | Virtual Clinical Supervision Across Texas

Choosing a clinical supervisor is one of the most important professional decisions you'll make. The right supervisor doesn't just help you complete your supervision hours—they help shape the way you think, grow, and practice as a clinician.

My goal is to provide a supervision experience that challenges you, supports you, and prepares you for confident, independent clinical practice.

Whether you're located in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, or another Texas community, virtual clinical supervision allows you to receive structured, board-approved support from wherever you practice.

My Journey

I’m Brittany A. Woodley, LCSW-S, LISW-S, a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Texas and Ohio with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health, clinical supervision, and social work leadership.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a variety of clinical settings that have shaped my approach to supervision and strengthened my passion for mentoring future clinicians.

Today, I serve as a Senior Social Worker with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs while also providing clinical supervision for LMSWs working toward licensure. I also maintain a private clinical practice through The Empowering Space PLLC.

In addition, I am the Founder of BW Clinical Education, where I am continuing to expand my work in clinical supervision, professional development, and social work education.

Over the years, I’ve learned that great clinicians aren’t simply created through experience—they’re developed through intentional learning, meaningful reflection, and supportive mentorship. That philosophy continues to guide the way I supervise, teach, and mentor.

My Philosophy of Supervision

“I believe clinical supervision should be one of the most valuable learning experiences of your career.”

Clinical supervision should be a space where you can think critically, ask questions, work through uncertainty, and strengthen your confidence as a clinician.

My approach is structured, collaborative, and supportive. I want supervisees to feel comfortable bringing complex cases, ethical questions, diagnostic concerns, and professional challenges into supervision so we can examine them thoughtfully together.

I see supervision as more than meeting licensure requirements. It should help you strengthen your clinical judgment, deepen your self-awareness, and become more intentional in the way you assess, document, plan, and intervene.

My goal is to create a learning environment where you feel supported, challenged, and equipped to grow into an ethical, confident, and independent clinical social worker.

What Former Supervisees Say

Hear from former supervisees about their experience with structured learning, clinical growth, professional support, and preparation for LCSW licensure.

The breakdown of the LCSW Study Modules was extremely beneficial to my preparation for the exam; without those modules and your help I don’t think I would have been as prepared on my own.

— Brittney T., LCSW Former Supervisee

Everything was organized, clear, and easy to manage alongside a busy schedule. I would absolutely recommend this supervision experience for anyone looking for structure, knowledge, and flexibility.

— Stephanie H., LCSW Former Supervisee

Our case studies were especially helpful in strengthening my understanding of different diagnoses and how to accurately identify and apply them in practice. It helped me feel more confident in my clinical skills and my ability to show up for clients with sound clinical judgment.

— I’Esha B., LCSW Former Supervisee
