About me

Helping LMSWs Build Confidence, Clinical Judgment, and a Strong Foundation for Independent Practice

Choosing a clinical supervisor is one of the most important professional decisions you'll make. The right supervisor doesn't just help you complete your supervision hours—they help shape the way you think, grow, and practice as a clinician.

My goal is to provide a supervision experience that challenges you, supports you, and prepares you for a successful career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Whether you're feeling excited, overwhelmed, or somewhere in between, I want you to know that you don't have to navigate this journey alone.

My Journey

I'm Brittany A. Woodley, LCSW-S, LISW-S, a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Texas and Ohio with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health, clinical supervision, and social work leadership.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings that have shaped my approach to supervision and strengthened my passion for mentoring future clinicians.

Today, I serve as a Senior Social Worker with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs while also owning The Empowering Space PLLC, where I provide virtual therapy, clinical supervision, and professional development for social workers across Texas.

Over the years, I've learned that great clinicians aren't simply created through experience—they're developed through intentional learning, meaningful reflection, and supportive mentorship. That's the type of supervision I strive to provide.

My Philosophy of Supervision

"I believe clinical supervision should be one of the most valuable learning experiences of your career."

`

While earning your supervision hours is essential, my goal is to help you become a clinician who feels confident making complex clinical decisions, navigating ethical challenges, and providing high-quality care to the individuals and families you serve.

I create a structured, collaborative learning environment where questions are encouraged, mistakes become opportunities for growth, and every supervisee is challenged to continue developing both personally and professionally.

I want my supervisees to leave each session with greater confidence, stronger clinical reasoning, and practical skills they can immediately apply in their work.
